Student Information

Did you know that student employment can be one of the most valuable experiences of your college career? Research shows that working just 10 hours per week helps students engage in campus life, encourages persistence in the classroom and improves time management skills as well as helping to pay a portion of college expenses.

The Truman employment experience can be whatever the student makes of it. For motivated students, employment can give you an opportunity to explore and affirm your career choice and gain critical skills that improve your marketability for professional employment as well as enhancing entry into graduate school.

Truman students are not allowed to work on-campus more than 20 hours per week during periods of enrollment. Research has found that working more than 20 - 25 hours per week may hinder a student's academic progress.

We hope you find your on-campus employment opportunity to be a valuable Truman experience that helps you attain your career goals.
